Description

Xuong Huan communal house is located at 10 Ben Cho street, Duy Ha 2 residential group, Xuong Huan ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.

* Origin of relics

According to recorded documents, the work of surveying and filling in Khanh Hoa was carried out in 1810. At that time, Xuong Huan ward was named Cu Huan Thuong, father of the hamlet (Nom name was Con Noi country). belonging to Ha Bac, Vinh Xuong district, Dien Khanh district, Binh Hoa town[1].

The name "Cu Huan Thuong Patriarch of the Village" was maintained through the kings: Gia Long, Minh Menh, and Thieu Tri (3rd year). In the third year of King Tu Duc's reign, the name of Cu Huan Thuong, the father of the hamlet, was changed to "Minh Huan village". In the second year of King Dong Khanh's reign, Minh Huan village changed to "Xuong Huan village". Later, the village-level administrative unit continued to change, but the name "Xuong Huan" remained the same since then.

Regarding the chronology, based on the earliest ordination in the 3rd year of Minh Mang (1822) still preserved in the communal house, it can be affirmed: The communal house was built at the latest during the reign of King Gia Long (1802-1819). The person with great merit in creating the village communal house is Nguyen Phuong Nam, along with the land donation that is the effort and money that he contributed to the Xuong Huan communal house to be born, the villagers worshiped him as Hau sage and noble. was enshrined in the main hall after his death.

At present, Xuong Huan communal house still retains 12 ordinations bestowed by the kings of the Nguyen Dynasty:
- The third reign of King Minh Mang (1822) conferred the god of Nam Hai Cu Toc Ngoc Lan.
- During the reign of King Thieu Tri, the 3rd (1843), Nam Hai Cu Toc named Ngoc Lan the god.
- During the reign of King Thieu Tri, the 3rd (1843), Nam Hai Cu Toc named Ngoc Lan the god.
- During the reign of King Tu Duc 3 (1850), Nam Hai Cu Toc named Ngoc Lan the god.
- The 33rd reign of King Tu Duc (1880) conferred the god of the South Sea Cu Toc Ngoc Lan.
- The 2nd reign of King Dong Khanh (1887) made Nam Hai Cu Toc the god of Ngoc Lan.
- The 2nd reign of King Thanh Thai (1890) conferred on Cao Cac the gods.
- The second reign of King Thanh Thai (1890) conferred the title of Thanh Hoang as a god.
- Emperor Duy Tan 3rd dynasty (1909) conferred the god Cao Cac Thuong, Thanh Hoang god, Nam Hai Cu Toc Ngoc Lan god.
- The 9th reign of King Khai Dinh (1924) conferred Cao Cac deity.
- The 9th reign of King Khai Dinh (1924) ordained Nam Hai Ngoc Lan as a god.
- The 9th reign of King Khai Dinh (1924) anointed Ban Canh Thanh Hoang as a god.

The communal house of Xuong Huan worships the village's Thanh Hoang, the former sage - the later sage, Thien Y A Na, the Hero of the Martyrs, and the god Nam Hai (Nam Hai Tomb[2] is now located at 6 Le Loi, Nha Trang).

Xuong Huan communal house has undergone specific restoration and repair times as follows: early 19th century, 1934, 1961, 2016.

Every year, the villagers of Xuong Huan organize the Xuong Huan communal house festival on the occasion of the "Spring and Autumn Festival". Springtime of praying for peace on the 19th day of the third lunar month; Autumn worships the death anniversary of the predecessors - the late sages on the 16th day of the 8th lunar month. Periodically, every "Three years of completion" the village communal house holds a great ceremony (with boi singing).

With the typical and outstanding values of history, culture and art architecture of Xuong Huan communal house, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued Decision No. 2865/QD-UBND dated 11/11/2009 ranking Xuong Huan Communal House is a provincial-level historical and cultural relic.
