Description
Xuan Phong communal house is located in Trung village, Vinh Phuong commune, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.
The communal house still preserves the ordination dating back to the 3rd year of Minh Mang (1822), so the time to build the communal house was around the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century. At that time, the communal house belonged to Xuan An commune, Hoa Chau district.
According to the old men, Xuan Phong communal house was established in 1784. Initially, the communal house was built with bamboo and cork leaves in Go Ong. However, the Go Ong area is low, when the flood water flooded the house for two or three days. Therefore, the villagers moved the communal house to a higher area, now called Go Dinh. After that, when the flood was big, the water still flooded into the communal house, so the villagers moved the communal house to Trung village where it is now.
The communal house is the center of community cultural activities of the local people and the place to worship Thanh Hoang, Tien Hien, Hau Hien, Heroic Martyrs...

Today, Xuan Phong communal house still preserves couplets, bells, incense burners, lampstands, mules and 7 consecrations bestowed by the Nguyen kings. The colors include:
- Sac Minh Mang in the 3rd year (1822) ordained Thanh Linh Thuan Duc;
- Sac Thieu Tri 3rd year (1843) conferred Thanh Linh Thuan Duc;
- Sac Thieu reigned for the 3rd year (1843) and conferred on Thanh Linh Thuan Duc;
- Sac Tu Duc 3rd year (1850) conferred Thanh Linh Thuan Duc;
- The 33rd Sac Tu Duc (1880) conferred on Thanh Linh Thuan Duc;
- The 2nd Dong Khanh Sac (1886) conferred the title of Thanh Linh Thuan Duc;
- The 3rd Sac Duy Tan (1909) conferred the title of Thanh Linh Thuan Duc;
According to the old men, the communal house has been restored many times:
- Around the end of the 19th century, the communal house was still a thatched house with earthen walls;
- Around the beginning of the twentieth century, the communal house was built and roofed with yin and yang tiles. After that, the roof system was damaged, so the communal house was replaced by yin and yang tiles with cement tiles.
- In 1963, built more flagpoles.
- In 1978, the locality dismantled four buildings: front house, Tien Hien house, guest house, house (kitchen) and water well;
- In 2012, Xuan Phong communal house was greatly restored to the communal house, the Martyr's shrine, the Temple of Tien hien, the ritual and the ordination project according to the project of repairing the village communal house of the People's Committee of Nha Trang city.
Xuan Phong communal house faces the North, is located on a flat, high land in Trung village, Vinh Phuong commune. Currently, Xuan Phong communal house has a campus of 1,593.4 square meters. The communal house has an ancient roof system, the roof is roofed with yin and yang tiles. Although it has been restored and embellished, the communal house still retains the wooden frame structure, carvings, decorative patterns of dragons and phoenixes.
From the outside looking at the relic, there are the following work items: Nghi Mon, Feng Shui and flagpole, communal house yard, great communal house, Am Co - Soldier church, Tien Hien temple, east house, west house, kitchen and so on. warehouse, Martyrs station.
According to the annual tradition, the Xuan Phong communal house festival is held twice according to the "Spring and Autumn two period" rule in the 3rd and 8th lunar month. This is a ceremony to worship the spring for peace and worship for the autumn to give thanks to heaven and earth. If there is singing boi, the festival lasts from two to three days.
Vinh Phuong commune considers this as a red address to educate and foster local historical and patriotic traditions for the young generation, which used to be one of the bases of the Can Vuong Khanh Hoa movement and the foundation of the Can Vuong commune. Revolution of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Front 101 days and nights against the French (October 23, 1945 - February 2, 1946).
On March 23, 2009, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 648/QD-UBND classifying Xuan Phong communal house as a historical - cultural relic.
