Description

Thuan My communal house is located in Thuan My village, Ninh Quang commune, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province.

Previously, the communal house was called My Hoa. After that, My Hoa village changed its name to Thuan My, so the communal house also changed. The name "Thuan My" means "According to beauty".

Based on the earliest ordination that Thuan My communal house still preserves, bestowed by King Tu Duc in 1852, it can be estimated that it was built around the beginning of the 19th century. Currently, Thuan My communal house still preserves a picture of a phoenix written in Chinese Nom: (亭  和  美 - Dinh Hoa My), "Tu Duc Quy Mui precious spring created". => My Hoa Communal House, “Creating the Year of the Goat in the year of Tu Duc”; 04 ordinations granted by the Nguyen kings:
- Sac Tu Duc in the 5th year (1852) conferred on Bon Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Sac  Tu Duc year 33 (1880) conferred on Bon Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Sac Dong Khanh in the second year (1887) conferred the title of Bon Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Sac Duy Tan in the 3rd year (1909) conferred the title of Bon Canh Thanh Hoang.

Since its inception, Thuan My communal house has undergone two renovations in 1958 and 1993.

Thuan My communal house worships Thanh Hoang, Tien Hien, Ngu Phuong Ban Tho, Son Lam.

The communal house has the following overall layout: Nghi Mon, flag pole, plan of style, Son Lam temple, Ngu Phuong Ban Tho temple, great communal house, post palace, tru house.

The sacrifice is the terrace of the great communal house, connected to the main hall, the front of the roof system is decorated with two unicorns, the two sides are decorated with turtles. On the columns, write couplets in Han Nom with the first two letters forming the name of the communal house:

Spelling:

Favorable times to create a family dance, palatial and joyful,
My Duc is pure and progressive in the middle of the village.

Translate:

Favorable time to create a magnificent dance hall, so enjoyable,
My Duc (beautiful virtue) is a pure spirit, in a progressive village, celebrates spring.

Every year, Thuan My communal house holds a festival on the 9th and 10th day of the 3rd lunar month.

Thuan My Communal House was built in the early 19th century, the architectural decoration, fine art, painting, sculpture, natural scenery rich in folklore, vivid, aesthetic value in the study of life material and spiritual life of local people. In addition, during the two resistance wars against the French and American imperialists, local historical events took place at the communal house.

Based on the typical values of history and culture of Thuan My communal house, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee ranked the provincial relic, in Decision No. 2634/QD-UBND dated October 14, 2010.
