Thai Thong communal house is located in Thai Thong village, Vinh Thai commune, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province. Description

Thai Thong communal house is located in Thai Thong village, Vinh Thai commune, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.

According to the old people, around the end of the 17th century, the people here built the Thai Thong communal house. Initially, the communal house was built with bamboo and bamboo pictures on the land of Go Dinh hamlet (Ong Phu mound); Later, the communal house was rebuilt at Dong Co Ha; over time the communal house was degraded, people rebuilt it near Mr. Dang Sao's house today, at this time the communal house was built more solidly; The family was built for the fourth time at Go Ba Dang (present-day Vinh Thai Primary School) in 1902 with yin and yang bricks and tiles. In 1945, the communal house was the headquarters of the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Front Resistance Committee, so it was burned by the French around November 1945. In 1956, the people rebuilt the communal house on Cam mountain (according to legend, the communal house was rebuilt). People here often go up to cut old trees, so the feudal government of the village banned cutting, since then this mountain is called Cam mountain), with bricks, lime mortar. In 1993, people restored it again. After a period of time, the house was degraded and people restored and repaired it in 2001.

The communal house was built on a large scale with many construction items such as: Dai Dinh, Tien Hien Church, Hau Hien Church, Thien Ya Na Temple, Thanh Minh Temple, martial arts, warehouse, kitchen.

From its creation to the present, the communal house still preserves many ancient symbols, parallel sentences, and 7 consecrations granted by the Nguyen dynasty's kings:
1- The first ordination: the 5th reign of King Tu Duc (1852);
2- Second ordination: 33rd reign of King Tu Duc (1881);
3- The third ordination: the reign of King Dong Khanh in the 2nd year (1887);
4- The fourth ordination: the 3rd reign of King Duy Tan (1909);
5- The fifth ordination: the 5th reign of King Duy Tan (1911);
Sixth ordination: the ninth reign of King Khai Dinh (1924);
Seventh ordination: the ninth reign of King Khai Dinh (1924).

The communal house turns to the northeast, located on Cam mountain about 25m high, has a large and airy landscape space; In the communal house yard, there is a large old tree, the front is a large and flat field, the back of the communal house is the Dinh River, along with the architectural style of the roof system with ancient floors, creating an ancient and majestic appearance for the communal house.

In the past, the communal house was held "Spring and Autumn Festival", but now the Spring and Autumn offerings are united in the third lunar month (depending on the year, choose a good day in March). During the festival, the procession takes place from An Duong pagoda (about 1km from the communal house to the northwest), after the ceremony is completed, the color will be sent to the temple; Before the August Revolution in 1945, there was singing boi every year, now there is singing boi once every three years (three years old).

With historical and cultural values, on August 22, 2007 Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1520/QD-UBND ranking Thai Thong communal house as a provincial relic.
