The relic is located in Dien Tho commune, Dien Khanh district, Khanh Hoa province.

The communal house of Son Thanh village is also known as Le Thanh communal house. Because in the past, Dinh Son Thanh belonged to Le Thanh village; In 1969, Le Thanh villagers moved to Cam Son village, Cam Son and Le Thanh hamlets changed their name to Son Thanh village and Le Thanh communal house changed its name to Dinh Son Thanh since then.

According to the horizontal phoenix painting at the communal house, there is a reference to the construction date of Giap Thin year; On the ritual gate and on the roof of the front facade, there are embossed letters KT 1837 (built in 1837).

Based on the stories of the elders, the communal house was built in the 18th year of Minh Mang (1837), when it was first built it was a house with thatched roof and thatched ground. By 1860, the thatched roof was rotted and re-roofed in the same place. The communal house has undergone major restoration and repair such as: In 1945 the communal house was bombed by the French, so in 1946 it was moved to Go Dinh near the Cai river; in 1964, the villagers moved to the old place where it is now; 1995, minor remodeling; in 2001, building the subject; in 2014, renovated the entire communal house; In 2016, the Temple of Tien Hien was restored.

The communal house is located at the foot of the mountain, facing Southeast, facing the field, with its back leaning against Hon Mot mountain.

The communal house includes the following architectural works: Nghi Mon, Phong Nha, Pre-Sacrificial Temple, Main Hall, Tien Hien Temple, Son Lam Temple.

According to local veterans: After the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Front (October 23, 1945 - February 1, 1946) was broken, the Nha Trang Front was ordered to withdraw to Dong Trang, on the way many miles away. army units stationed at communal houses; Here, there are secret tunnels for soldiers and people to hide (now these tunnels are no longer available); The French enemy discovered that there were people hiding in the basement, so they sent bombers to this area, causing the house to completely collapse, a nurse died, a civilian died and one person was injured.

The communal house of Son Thanh village holds the festival on the 10th day of the third lunar month, but before that, on January 14-15, the villagers hold the ceremony of Dan Trang Cau An at Buu Long Pagoda.

With the above typical values, on March 3, 2011 Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 564/QD-UBND ranking Son Thanh Communal House as a provincial historical - cultural relic.
