Description

Phu Nong communal house is located in Phu Nong village, Vinh Ngoc commune, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province; At the beginning of the Nguyen Dynasty, it belonged to Hoa Rural, Ha Bac, Vinh Xuong district, Dien Khanh district.

Based on the earliest ordination (1852) still preserved at the communal house, we can say that Phu Nong communal house was built around the beginning of the 19th century to worship Ban Canh Thanh Hoang, Tien Hien, Hau Hien, Than Nong, Son Lam. , The Duke…

Phu Nong communal house is located at the beginning of the village, in an area of 882.5m2, facing the Northeast and under the canopy of hundreds of years old tamarind trees.

Phu Nong communal house has the following layout: Nghi Mon, Son Lam Temple, Phong Nha, Pre-Sacrificial Temple, Main Hall, Tien Hien House, Tho Cong Temple.

Phu Nong communal house relic not only has aesthetic beauty, but also preserves many tangible and intangible heritage values of the village: ordination, diaphragm, Han Nom couplets, god worshiping examination, dragon communal house, parasol, etc. lo Bo, gongs, drums, Thanh la, rituals of worship, writings of worship, worshiping music... The ordinations of Phu Nong communal house:
- Ordaining Tu Duc in the 5th year (1852) to the tutelary emperor;
- Ordaining Tu Duc in the 33rd year (1880) to the Emperor;
- Ordaining Dong Khanh in the 2nd year (1887) to the Citadel;
- Ordaining Duy Tan in the 3rd year (1909) conferred on the Emperor;
- Ordaining Khai Dinh in the 9th year (1924) to the Emperor;

Every year, the people of Phu Nong village hold a festival to worship Spring at the communal house on the occasion of the third lunar month.

During the two resistance wars against the French colonialists and the American imperialists, the relic was also the place where a number of local historical events took place.

In the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Front 101 days and nights of resistance against the French colonialists (October 23, 1945 to the beginning of February 1946), the communal house was a communication base, a point of gathering and resupply of human resources, material for the battlefield.

During the resistance war against the US to save the country, Phu Nong communal house was the place to hide documents and meetings of local revolutionary cadres.

Phu Nong communal house is an ancient communal house of Khanh Hoa land, containing many values of culture, beliefs and art architecture. Especially in terms of historical value, this place has marked many important events of our army and people in the two long resistance wars of the nation. Therefore, on 22/28/2007, Phu Nong communal house was issued Decision No. 1521/QD-UBND by the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, classified as a provincial historical and cultural relic.
