Based on the ordination under the reign of King Duy Tan in the 5th year (1911), we can guess that Phu Nghia communal house was built at the end of the 19th century. When it was first built, the communal house was made of bamboo and cork leaves in Phu Nghia commune, Tan Dinh district. During the resistance war against the French colonialists, Phu Nghia communal house was the place where the French colonialists were stationed. Our people attacked them and bombarded them, making the communal house completely damaged. Over time, the communal house was degraded, the people carried out renovation in the years: 1958, 1994.

Phu Nghia communal house is located in a land area with a total area of 1,960 m2, with the front facing southwest. From the outside to the inside, the communal house has an overall floor plan including the following architectural components: the room, the main hall, the east house, the kitchen.
The main bearing structure of the main hall consists of 2 sets because it is located on 04 female columns, the communal house does not have military columns and porch columns, but directly into the concrete wall system, creating a fulcrum for the wall and making the worship space inside. more transparent. Because the roof is structurally "truss". The decoration of the communal house of Phu Nghia is not too fussy and complicated because the components participating in the architectural structure from columns to beams, the levers are elegant without the heavy feeling of having to resort to excessive sculpting. The wooden frame with components such as pillars, trusses, beams... are all made from famous wood and in the architectural style of the Nguyen Dynasty, almost intact, with vivid patterns and textures in the architectural style. ancient Vietnamese. The residual heads of the people, hitchhikers…carved elaborate dragon heads. On the roof top and the roof tops of the communal house is decorated with the project "Two dragons of war", cloud veins... solid interior structure, with high artistic value.
Every year, the community of residents of Phu Nghia village organizes the village communal house festival on the "Spring and Fall of the Second Period". The Spring Festival is held on the 16th day of the second lunar month and the Fall Festival is held on the 10th day of the 10th lunar month.
On December 5, 2013, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 3092/QD-UBND ranking Phu Nghia communal house relic as a provincial historical - cultural relic.
