Phu Loc communal house is located in Phu Loc Tay 1 village, Dien Khanh town, Dien Khanh district, Khanh Hoa province.
Huynh Tan Loc (1710-1850) was the commander of an army of King Quang Trung in the Tay Son movement, after defeating the Siamese army, he stayed in Dien Khanh citadel. After that, he went to the northern area of Cai River to reclaim land, establish a village and name it "Phu Lui, phu Loc commune". He stood up to build the communal house for the village, when it was first built, the communal house was made of thatched roofs, leaf walls, only wooden columns and named it Phu Loc communal house. Thus, the communal house was built around the end of the eighteenth century - the beginning of the twentieth century.
In 1926, Mr. Huynh Tan Hut (grandson of Mr. Huynh Tan Loc) and the villagers restored the communal house with sustainable materials, built with brick walls and tiled roofs.
In 1946, Phu Loc communal house was burned down by the French colonialists, in 1957 people rebuilt the communal house on the old foundation and exists to this day.
From 1946 until now, Phu Loc communal house has been repaired and restored 5 times:
- In 1990, renovate the ritual and build a new ordination case;
- In 1998, replacing rafters, sesame, roofing tiles and repainting the entire communal house;
- In 2000, built two walls on the left and right of the communal house;
- In 2002, the tru house was restored;
- In 2004, the set of 03 sets of gates of Tien Hien Temple.
At present, Phu Loc communal house still keeps 01 Tieu Hong, cast in 1930: "Minh Huong commune - Former chief minister Hua Khac Ha worships - Emperor Bao Dai year of the year collects artificial sand", the bell was made in auspicious day in the middle of autumn in the 5th year of Bao Dai (1930). Phu Loc communal house still preserves 14 ordinations of the Nguyen Dynasty kings, including:
- Ordaining Tu Duc in the 5th year (1852) to the god Bon Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Ordained Tu Duc in the 5th year (1852) to Dai Can National Nam Hai;
- Ordaining Tu Duc in the 33rd year (1880) granted to Dai Can National Nam Hai;
- Ordaining Tu Duc in the 33rd year (1880) to the god Bon Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Ordaining Dong Khanh in the second year (1887) to the god Bon Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Ordaining Dong Khanh in the 2nd year (1887) granted to Dai Can National Nam Hai;
- Sac Phong Duy Tan in the 3rd year (1909) bestowed upon the god Bon Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Sac Phong Duy Tan in the 3rd year (1909) bestowed Dai Can on the Nam Hai State;
- Sac Phong Khai Dinh 2nd year (1917) bestowed on Thien Y An Na;
- Sac Phong Khai Dinh 2nd year (1917) bestowed upon Thanh Linh Thuan Duc;
- Sac Phong Khai Dinh 2nd year (1917) bestowed on Ngu Hanh Goddess;
- Ordaining the second King Khai Dinh (1917) to Bach Ma Thai Giam;
- Ordaining the 9th King Khai Dinh (1924) to Bach Ma Thai Giam and Thanh Linh Thuan Duc;
- Ordaining the 9th King Khai Dinh (1924) to Thien Y An, Ngu Hanh Than Nu and Dai Can Quoc Nam Hai.
Phu Loc communal house worships Thanh Hoang, Thien Y A Na, Dai Can Quoc Quoc Nam Hai, Ngu Hanh Than Nu, Bach Ma Thai Giam, Thanh Linh Thuan Duc, Mr. Huynh Tan Loc and his predecessors and juniors.
Phu Loc Communal House faces the South, is located on a high ground located in the middle of Phu Loc Tay clump, has a total area of 1,143.1m2. From the outside to the inside, Phu Loc communal house has an overall architectural plan as follows: Nghi mon, feng shui, great communal house, Am Linh temple.
The temple has a western tiled roof system, on the roof system is decorated with the pattern "Two dragons adoring the moon". The main hall has an architectural structure consisting of two roofs, each floor has four roofs, including two roofs front, back and two gable roofs on both sides. The ancient floor was built of bricks and decorated with trees, flowers, and natural scenery, on the roof of the building, "Two dragons adoring the moon".
Every year, Phu Loc communal house festival organizes the festival on the 10th day of the second lunar month according to local traditional rites. Phu Loc communal house is one of the places where the Viet Minh Committee of Dien Khanh government gathered a large number of people, demonstrated their forces and propagated the meaning of the uprising to take power back to the people.
In 2005, Phu Loc communal house was ranked by Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee as a provincial historical - cultural relic in Decision No. 2337/QD-UBND.
