* Origin of relics

Confucianism/Confucianism/Confucianism is an ethical system, socio-political philosophy, educational philosophy initiated by Confucius and developed by his disciples with the aim of building a prosperous society. Confucianism was formed in ancient China, greatly influencing countries in Asia, including Vietnam. In Vietnam, the Nguyen Dynasty attached great importance to the construction of religious institutions to worship and pay tribute to those who have contributed to the country and nation. Therefore, right from the time of his coronation, King Gia Long ordered the construction of a Temple of Literature across the country "In the second year of Gia Long (1803) with the king's edict, "In every town, there is a Temple of Literature, each temple has a temple of Literature. put two people with names, the birth ceremony and the temple husband are all 30 people”[1]. Like many Temples of Literature across the country, Van Chi Ninh Hoa also has its ups and downs in history and exists to this day.

Literature of Ninh Hoa where worships Confucius, the founder of Confucianism and the sages who were his students; At the same time, it is also the living place of local Confucian scholars and faculty members, honoring those who have achieved high results in academic exams of Tan Dinh district[2].

* Formation of the Ninh Hoa Literature

After King Gia Long ascended the throne (1802), the seat of Binh Khang Palace was moved to Dien Khanh citadel and renamed Binh Hoa town. in Phu Loc commune, Hoa Chau district, in Binh Hoa town”[3] (now in Phu Loc Tay cluster, Dien Khanh town). This is the precursor of the national monument of Dien Khanh Temple of Literature in Dien Khanh town today. Since then, Binh Khang Temple of Literature in Ninh Hoa has become a district level Literature, now it is Ninh Hoa Temple of Literature.

Regarding the chronology, based on the horizontal plate "Nghia di high" hanging in the inner palace with the line "Tu Duc Decades of Five Moons and Sands" [the auspicious day of May in the 12th year of Tu Duc (1859) created construction] is the data to predict the year of construction of the monument.

Since its construction until now, Ninh Hoa Literature has undergone embellishment and renovation, specifically in the years: 1884, 1997, 2001, 2002.

The overall plan of Ninh Hoa Literature

* Architecture of Ninh Hoa Literature:

Van is located in a campus with a total area of 4,480m2. From the outside to the inside, Van Chi Ninh Hoa has an overall layout as follows: Courtroom, front street, interior palace, east house.

Van architecture only uses a complex structure of wood - stone - terracotta: stone foundation, baked brick wall, wooden frame, yin and yang tiled roof. In terms of overall architecture, Van is just a building with the front hall in front, the inner palace in the back and the east house used to receive guests on the left side of the monument. In terms of architectural details, Van's main bearing system is only 04 female columns (0.45m in diameter) and 12 military columns (0.39m in diameter). The truss is linked together by the "superior truss - dummy" system, because the roof structure is truss-type. The inner palace has 04 roofs, 02 front and rear roofs and 02 gable roofs, the roof bank is decorated with "Two dragons adoring the sun".

* Festivals and activities related to monuments

Every year, the Management Board of the relic organizes the celebration of the birthday of Confucius (born on the 27th day of the 8th lunar month) and the holy day on the day of death on the 18th day of the fourth lunar month.

As is customary, after the traditional offering ceremony, comes the awarding of medals and long life wishes for the elderly in the Medical Association who reach the age of 80 and 90. Then, there is the awarding ceremony and awarding of scholarships “Study promotion and encouragement. talents" for poor students who study well at some schools in Ninh Hoa, the funding is mobilized by the Management Board from benefactors, the Study Promotion Association of Khanh Hoa province and the Study Promotion Association of Ninh Hoa town.

On November 6, 2006, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1888/QD-UBND ranking Ninh Hoa Literature as a provincial historical - cultural relic.
