Description

The communal house is located in Khanh Cam 1 residential group, Ba Ngoi ward, Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province.

During the reign of the first King Thanh Thai (1889), the people here established the Khanh Cam communal house, initially with simple bamboo and cork leaves. In the reign of King Duy Tan 5 (1911), people contributed money from the effort to rebuild the spacious communal house, with brick walls, wooden bearing frame structure, yin and yang tiled roof.

At present, the relic is well preserved, still retaining the original architectural structure. Over time, the communal house was remodeled many times in the years: 1911, 1947, 1952, 1968, 1989, 2000 and the most recent restoration was in 2012 to repair the ancient floor, roof system, repaint the house.

The communal house is a place to worship Thanh Hoang, Thien Y A Na, the predecessors, the late sages (those who openly reclaimed land, converted people to establish hamlets, and created villages...).

Currently, the communal house still preserves 04 ordinations bestowed by King Duy Tan and King Khai Dinh:
1- Ordaining Duy Tan in the 5th year (1911) conferred on Thanh Hoang;
2- Ordaining Duy Tan in the 5th year (1911) to Thien Y A Na;
3- Ordaining Khai Dinh in the 9th year (1924) conferred on Thanh Hoang;
4- Ordaining Khai Dinh in the 9th year (1924) to Thien Y A Na.

The communal house faces South, in front is a small park, the other three sides are adjacent to a residential area. The communal house has a cool landscape space, in the campus there are two ancient trees and fig trees, bodhi trees…

From the outside looking at the relic, there are works items: Nghi Mon (gate), courtyard, feng shui, great communal house (Vo ca, money sacrifice, main hall), Thien Y A Na temple, Tien Hien temple, Co soul temple, warehouse and kitchen. It can be seen that this is one of the largest communal houses in Cam Ranh.

Before 1945, the festival was held twice a year according to "Spring and Autumn Two Periods". Currently, the festival is held on the Qingming period in March (depending on the year, the day of the month to hold the festival is selected); According to the custom, every three years in the festival, there is a festival to sing boi once (three years old).

Recognizing the historical - cultural values, on November 6, 2006, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1882/QD-UBND ranking Khanh Cam communal house as a provincial relic.
