Hon Du is the name of the highest mountain in the upper mountain range with an altitude of: Hon Du Dai is 1,292m, Hon Nhon is 1,092m, Hon Du Tieu is 1,000m, Hon Sa is 216m and Hon Mua is 602m. During the resistance war against the French and American invaders, Hon Du area was chosen as a place to station troops for the headquarters of Khanh Hoa province and Khanh Vinh district, a road of transportation, communication, a strategic corridor to the North. South of the inter-region and the Central.

The above mountains have many caves, rock pools and also a primeval forest with many large old trees. On the mountainside, there are many small streams flowing to the villages of A Xay, Suoi Lach, Suoi Ca ... such as Suoi Ngang, Suoi Ka Giang, Ta Kang, Suoi Lao. The above streams flow into two large rivers of Khanh Vinh district, Song Giang and Song Cai.

Around Hon Du is a residential area, mostly Raglai people. From here, by the forest road, it is convenient to communicate with the western provinces such as Lam Dong, Dak Lak and areas in the province such as Khanh Son, Ninh Hoa, and Dien Khanh districts.

From the above characteristics, Hon Du converges all the factors to become one of the major revolutionary bases of Khanh Hoa province during the resistance war against the French and American invaders in the period (1945 - 1975).

Hon Du revolutionary base was one of the major resistance bases of Khanh Hoa army and people during the two long resistance wars against the French colonialists and the invading US imperialists (1945 - 1975). marked many glorious historical events of the Party and revolutionary government of Khanh Vinh district in particular and Khanh Hoa province in general. From the important meetings of the Provincial Party Committee, the District Party Committee to the heroic struggles of many revolutionary comrades across the country together with the mountainous people of Khanh Vinh.

Since being selected as a resistance base for the army and people of Khanh Hoa, Hon Du revolutionary base has played a particularly important role in building and developing the revolutionary movement for ethnic minorities. Khanh Hoa, helping the people believe in and follow the revolutionary path chosen by the Party and Uncle Ho.

Hon Du revolutionary base is not only the pride of ethnic minorities in Khanh Vinh but also a symbol of the great fighting spirit of all people and soldiers in Khanh Hoa province.

Today, the entire people of Khanh Hoa province, especially those who were directly attached to the revolutionary base during the two resistance wars, are trying their best to preserve and educate the revolutionary achievements won for the people today. now and future descendants.
