Binh Tan temple, dating from the early 19th century, is one of the ancient communal houses in Khanh Hoa in general and Nha Trang in particular. The relic exists along with the history of formation and development of the land along the Binh Tan river (Cua Be). The communal house is a testament to the existence of Binh Tan village, which converges almost fully the cultural values that our ancestors created and handed down to posterity.

Binh Tan Communal House is located in Binh Tan Residential Group 1, Vinh Truong Ward, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province. At the beginning of the Nguyen Dynasty, it was a part of Con Giua village, Ben Do village, Ha Bac district, Vinh Xuong district, Dien Khanh district.

A few hundred years ago, a part of the Vietnamese population in the provinces of Quang Nam, Binh Dinh and Phu Yen followed the sea route to the riverside of Cua Be, where they camped and built houses. Later, the population was dense, they gathered into villages and hamlets to build communal houses to have places for people to worship. The main occupation of the residents here is fishing, so the god they worship is Than Nam Hai (whale). Binh Tan Communal House is not clear in which year it was built, but based on the ordinations bestowed in the 3rd year of Minh Mang (1822) still preserved at the communal house, it can be confirmed that at least the first communal house was born. nineteenth century.

Since its construction, Binh Tan communal house has undergone the following renovations:
- Initially, the communal house was made of a simple cottage with earthen walls. In 1925, the communal house was restored and roofed with yin and yang tiles.
- In 1956, the campaign board consisted of Mai Dong, Vo Tha, Huynh Dam, Nguyen Hong, Le Kim Thinh, Phu Loi, and mobilized people to contribute to the restoration of the communal house, re-roofing the hook tiles and coating the floor. cement, cement plaster wall.
- In 1989, when the communal house was degraded, Mr. Nguyen Hoc established a restoration campaign committee with the contribution of the people of the communal house to repair items and works including: re-roofing tiles, repairing rituals and repairing houses. weathering project, building fences on the front and three sides on the back, whitewashed the entire monument.
- In 1996, renovated Tien Hien house.
- In 1998, repaired the tiles and raised the communal house floor.
- In 2003, built the surrounding fence.
- In 2013, with the contribution of the people and the financial support of Nha Trang city, Binh Tan communal house was overhauled.

Binh Tan Communal House is located on a large, flat campus, with an area of 943.5 m2, facing the southeast direction overlooking Be Gate (Binh Tan estuary). The direction and land position of the communal house are suitable for the space and landscape of the monument.

Currently, the overall Binh Tan communal house has the architectural style of the Nguyen Dynasty in the early 19th century, built in the style of the letter Tam (三); Items and works include: Nghi Mon, Phong Nha, Martial Ca, Pre-Sales, Main Hall, Nam Hai Temple, Ngu Hanh Temple and Tien Hien Temple.

Binh Tan Communal House still preserves many valuable relics and antiques, the relics here are quite rich in genres and materials such as: ordination, couplets, Han Nom documents, long communal houses, parasols, etc. gongs, drums, Thanh la, rituals, worshiping rituals, literature, ritual music, ritual costumes... especially every year on the good day of October (lunar calendar), people hold a communal house worship ceremony with bold identity. In addition to the ceremony, there is also a folk performance (Hat Boi) to serve the people to enjoy and enjoy the local culture.

With the above typical values, Binh Tan communal house relic has been ranked as a provincial cultural and historical relic by the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, issued Decision No. 515/QD-UBND, dated March 24, 2006 .
