Truong Dong communal house is located in residential group 2 Truong Dong, Vinh Truong ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.

About 200 years ago, some residents of the northern provinces of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, and Phu Yen migrated to the land along the Binh Tan river near Cua Be (Vinh Truong, Nha Trang today) to establish their livelihoods. Karma. After a while, the population became more and more crowded, they established a village named Truong Dong, built communal houses and mausoleums to have places for people to worship.

Truong Dong communal house dates back to the early 19th century. Since its construction, Truong Dong communal house has undergone three renovations:
- The first time: In 1918, due to the fluctuations of history and the harshness of nature, the communal house was degraded, the people repaired the monument (repositioned and rebuilt the communal house).
- Second time: in 1959, the communal house was renovated with the appearance of new materials such as bricks, tiles… However, the original wooden frame structure was still preserved.
- The third time: in 2009, the family overhauled and restored.

Every year, on the auspicious day of February and October of the lunar calendar, Truong Dong people organize a communal house worship ceremony bearing the local cultural identity. In addition to the ceremony, there is also a folk performance of boi singing, to sacrifice to God's grace and to serve the people to have fun and enjoy traditional folk art.

Truong Dong communal house relic exists along with the history of formation and development of the land of Nha Trang. The communal house is a testament to the existence of Truong Dong village, which converges almost fully the values that his father created and handed down to posterity. In general, the architectural works of the communal house are arranged in harmony with the large scale and stature compared to the communal houses of the same period (in total, including 94 wooden columns and 47 sets of trusses) and carved with patterns. delicate. Truong Dong Communal House is one of the relics that have preserved quite intact the ancient typical features with the architectural style of Khanh Hoa and South Central Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty.

With the above typical values, Truong Dong communal house relic has been ranked as a historical - cultural relic of the highest level by the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, issued Decision No. 434/QD-UBND, dated February 9, 2010 conscious.
