Thanh Trieu Pagoda was built in the year of the Rabbit (1819) by some Chinese-Vietnamese people standing up to build, to worship Quan Thanh De Quan, a saint worshiped in many Eastern countries, having interference and acculturation with  Chinese culture such as Japan, Korea, Vietnam... He symbolizes humanity, justice, ceremony, wisdom, trust, honor, bravery and loyalty.  In addition, the relic also worships General Chau Xuong and Prince Quan Binh.

Thanh Trieu Pagoda, also known as Ong Pagoda, belongs to Thuy Trieu village, Cam Hai Dong commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province (formerly Ha Bac Thuoc, Vinh Xuong district, Dien Khanh district). Nha Trang city is about 40 km to the south.

The relic is located on a mound of fine white sand with charming natural scenery, in front of which is Thuy Trieu lagoon and has gone into poetry:
- Most Ru Ri temple.
- The second family of Tra Long.
- Three pagodas Ong Thuy Trieu.

In 1914, the 8th Duy Tan era, the people embellished the Tien Duong house to use it as a place of worship. In 1941, the pagoda was overhauled and since then, the items and works have been preserved until now.

 

The main hall of Thanh Trieu pagoda

The architectural items and works of the pagoda include: Nghi Mon, Son Lam Temple, front hall and main hall, located on a campus with a total area of 1,730m2, with open space and landscape, lined with trees. shade along Thuy Trieu lagoon.

The main architectural structure of the Main Hall is a load-bearing system with a wooden frame, in which the truss set is the basic element associated with columns, beams, lines ... on the column is decorated with the mascot "Rolling Dragon". The load-bearing structures both support the roof system and are the constitutive units of the spatial organization of the building, two sets because they are linked together to form a space.

In addition to the unique beauty of architectural art, Thanh Trieu Pagoda also preserves many valuable relics and antiquities: Three ancient statues, diaphragm, couplets, Minh - Bible, paintings, paintings, etc. devotional songs, worship music...

Every year, people hold a ceremony to worship Ong on January 13 (lunar calendar).

Thanh Trieu Pagoda is a relic formed early on the land of Cam Lam, designed in the typical architectural style of the Chinese with two functions, both as a place of religious activities and worship, and as a meeting place. of the Vietnamese-Chinese community in Cam Lam. Through the history of Thanh Trieu Pagoda and the relics of the Chinese in the land of Khanh Hoa, we can understand somewhat about the history of Chinese settlement and busy trading ports along the rivers and large lagoons. on this land. Not only that, the pagoda also preserves the cultural exchange between Vietnam and China through historical periods.

With the above typical values, Thanh Trieu Pagoda has been classified as a provincial historical - cultural relic by the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2848/QD-UBND, dated 18/11/2008.
