Description

Long Hoa communal house belongs to Long Hoa village, Van Long commune, Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province (formerly a part of Phu Hoa commune, belonging to Ha canton, Quang Phuoc district, Binh Hoa province). Nha Trang city 73 km to the north.

Long Hoa communal house is also known as Huong Thanh communal house, Long Thanh communal house, built before 1859, to worship Ban Canh Thanh Hoang and to worship other gods.

The communal house was originally made simply with local materials such as bamboo, cork, and thatched roof in the land that is known as Go Dinh land. After nearly two centuries, with the harsh climate of the coastal village and the effects of devastating wars, to have an original ancient communal house as it is today is thanks to the collective efforts of the villagers in the past. the times of restoration and embellishment of monuments:
- In the 25th year of Tu Duc (1873), due to many factors, people moved the communal house to the middle of the village (where the communal house is located today).
- In 1889, the people restored the sacrifice, the main hall, the west house, the east house, Thien Y temple, Am Soul temple and consecration;
- In 1916, the people restored the Co Lau.
- In 1940, 1994, the communal house was overhauled.
- In 1997, embellished the fence around the communal house.

Long Hoa communal house is located on a plot of land in the middle of the village, with beautiful terrain, under the canopy of an ancient tamarind tree, with an area of 1,086 square meters, facing the southeast direction.

The items and works are arranged as follows: Nghi Mon, Phong Nha, courtyard, front hall, main hall, east house, west house, Am Soul Temple, Co Soul Temple and Son Lam Temple.

The architectural and artistic monument of Long Hoa communal house not only has aesthetic beauty, but also contains many great historical and cultural values in tangible and intangible heritages such as: 02 ordinations of the Nguyen Dynasty kings. Mr. Tiger… Especially, the annual traditional festival is held on the auspicious day of the second lunar month; in which, converges many intangible cultural values, rituals, sacrifices, music sacrifices, costumes, offerings, boi singing...

Long Hoa communal house was built around the beginning of the 19th century, due to the people's religious needs. During nearly two centuries of existence, Long Hoa communal house has entered the subconscious of every citizen. With the ancient beauty of artistic architecture created and kept here by artisans, it has left our juniors with a complete view of the communal house architecture in Khanh Hoa in the early 19th century. . Because of the above typical values, the relic has been classified as a provincial relic by the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, issued Decision No. 1890/QD-UBND, dated November 6, 2006.
