Description

Hiep Thanh communal house is located in Hiep Thanh village, Ninh Binh commune, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province.

Before 1810, Hiep Thanh village was called Huong Thanh commune (under the canton of Trung, Tan Dinh district, Binh Hoa province), consisting of two countries: Go Dinh and Tamarind. In 1890, Huong Thanh commune changed to Hiep Thanh commune, Tan Dinh district, Khanh Hoa province.

Based on the earliest ordination preserved at Hiep Thanh communal house, it can be assumed that the relic was built in the 19th century. Currently, Hiep Thanh communal house still preserves 4 orders of kings of the Nguyen dynasty:

- Ordaining Thanh Thai in the second year (1890) to Ban Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Ordaining Thanh Thai in the 2nd year (1890) granted the Dai Cang nation of Nam Hai four saints;
- Ordaining Duy Tan in the 3rd year (1909) granted to Ban Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Ordaining Duy Tan in the 3rd year (1909) bestowed four saints on the Nam Hai nation.

Hiep Thanh communal house worships Ban Canh Thanh Hoang, Dai Canh of Nam Hai country with four saints, Hoang Thien Hau Tho, Tien Hien, Tho Cong, Son Lam, Muc Dong Muc Tuong, Princess, Pho Ma, and Duke.

Since its inception, Hiep Thanh communal house has undergone many embellishments and renovations: 1909, 1957, 1959, 1996, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2009.

Hiep Thanh Communal House is located in a land area with a total area of 2,030m2, with the front facing south. In the communal house, there are many old trees covering a corner of the communal house. From the outside to the inside, the communal house has an overall floor plan including architectural elements: Nghi Mon, flagpole, wind project, Son Lam temple, Mu Dong temple, Muong statue, main hall, east house, west house, etc. Tru house (kitchen), Hau Tho temple. The highlight in the architecture of Hiep Thanh communal house is that the wooden frame structure in the main hall has 30 columns with 5 rows of pillars, which are structured in 2 sets because it forms a compartment with 2 wings with all kinds of columns [04 female columns (04 female columns). circumference 92cm), 12 columns and 14 porch columns]. Because the roof structure is in the style of truss.

Every year, the people of Hiep Thanh village hold a communal house festival in January and April. The festival usually takes place in 2 days, every year when singing Boi is held, it takes place 3-4 days.

During the two resistance wars against the French colonialists and the American imperialists, Hiep Thanh communal house was the training ground for the Hiep Thanh village self-defense squad; was the secret operation site of the Armed Task Force in the Nam Ninh Hoa region and was also a springboard for the revolution to go deep into the district center (present-day Ninh Hiep ward). In 1969, comrade Pham Ly Trung (district member, captain of Ninh Binh Commune Working Group) and comrade Trung (officer of Ninh Binh Commune Working Group) fought bravely with a puppet army platoon and Mr. bravely sacrificed himself at the bamboo bush next to the house.

On October 14, 2010, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2629/QD-UBND ranking Hiep Thanh communal house as a provincial historical and cultural relic.
