Description
The temple was built before the 18th century. The founder of Bao Long pagoda was Dat Chieu, Thiet Quang, belonging to the 38th generation of the Lam Te Chanh Tong line. He migrated to Ninh Hoa, then stopped here and built a small temple named Buu Long Tu. In 1780, Mr. Nguyen Van Quy migrated to the South when he came to this land and chose this place as his hometown to live, he and Huynh Van Nhien reclaimed the land and were effective guardians for the Venerable Master. Buu Long Pagoda.
Most Venerable Thiet Quang practiced for a while and then passed away, the successor being Venerable Nhu Chau. During his time as abbot, he ordered Dai Hong Chung to be cast on February 18, 1808 (the year of the Dragon), on Dai Hong Chung engraved with the Chinese Nom script transliterated as follows:
Mau Thin year, two moons and ten octagons, fake sands of Binh Hoa, Tan Dinh, Trung, My district, Bao Long commune, self-abiding monk Nhu Ha Chau
Duke Huynh Van Nhien; Former sage Cai Nguyen Van Long; The head of the village, Dang Van Thi, was an official of the commune… the great minor degree of harmony and the ten directions shared a common note.

Bao Long Pagoda has undergone renovations:
- In 1953 and 1988, the main hall was overhauled.
- In 1999, the main hall was rebuilt, the roof roofed with western tiles.

- In 2013, building Amitabha Buddha statue.
The pagoda has the following overall layout: Nghi Mon, Thien Y A Na temple, Quan Am statue, main hall, post-ancestral house, monk house, eastern house, spiritual house.
Bao Long Pagoda faces the South, is located on a flat land, with a total area of 7,600 m2.
Every year, Bao Long Pagoda is held to celebrate Buddha's Birthday and Vu Lan Festival on the full moon day of the first lunar month and the seventh lunar month. In addition, Bao Long Pagoda also worships the days of Quan Am (February 19, June 19 of the lunar calendar), a cavalry ancestor of the lunar calendar (December 17 of the lunar calendar), and of Buddha's enlightenment (December 8 of the lunar calendar). calendar).
During the resistance war against the French colonialists, along with the uprising movement throughout the country, the wave of struggle of the people of Thuan My village, Van Thang commune (present-day Ninh Quang commune) became stronger and stronger. Viet Minh's secret base was formed, Bao Long pagoda is one of them. Behind the pagoda, in the northeast corner, there is a well, formerly two secret cellars, shelters, hiding food, food, and ammunition of revolutionary soldiers.
During the resistance war against the invading US imperialists, the revolutionary government restored this secret revolutionary base from the period of resistance against the French colonialists. In charge of this secret facility is comrade Dinh Vui - the leader of activities in the Ninh Hung and Ninh Quang areas today and also the person who enlightened his two grandchildren, Mr. Dinh Hoa Khanh and Mrs. Dinh Thi Do. In 2008, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee ranked Bao Long Pagoda as a provincial historical and cultural relic, in Decision No. 704/QD-UBND, dated March 19, 2008.
