Description

Vinh Hoi communal house is located at group 12 Vinh Hoi, Ngoc Hiep ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.

Vinh Hoi village formerly known as Cho Vo Xu (name of a mountain in the village) is part of Ngoc Toan village[1]. At that time, the whole village had only 5 to 7 roofs, sparsely populated and poor. Villagers of Phuong Sai (Coi ward) often bring rice and firewood to support Vinh Hoi villagers; The name "Ho village" was born from there and exists until today[2].

Regarding the chronology, based on the picture hanging in the main hall with the content "Vinh Hoi communal house, Thanh Thai Binh Ngo Thu created [Made in the autumn of the year of Binh Ngo (1906), Thanh Thai era]". From here, we can guess that Vinh Hoi communal house was built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Currently, Vinh Hoi communal house still preserves 3 ordinations bestowed by the Nguyen kings, including:

- Ordaining the reign of King Duy Tan in the 5th year (1911) to Ban Canh Thanh Hoang;

- Ordaining the reign of King Khai Dinh in the 9th year (1924) to Ban Canh Thanh Hoang;

- Ordaining the reign of King Khai Dinh in the 9th year (1924) was given to Thien Y A Na.

Vinh Hoi communal house was built to worship the village Thanh Hoang, Thien Y A Na, the five elements, the sage, the senior, and the junior.
