Description
Tra Long communal house is located in Ba Ngoi ward, Cam Ranh city.
Around the end of the nineteenth century, Cam Ranh was still a wild land, with primeval forests encroaching on the coast. The population is mainly indigenous residents of the Raglai people and a part of Kinh migrants living scattered in Ba Ngoi, Thuy Trieu... According to the Nguyen Dynasty's directory, which is kept at the National Archives Center in Ho Chi Minh City. established in the 10th year of Gia Long (1811), Khanh Hoa had 306 volumes, but the copies in the 26th year of Tu Duc (1873) had only 275 copies, thus missing 31 volumes. Therefore, the total number of village names in Khanh Hoa at the beginning of the 19th century, also known through the address book, is 290 villages and communes. In that directory, there is no name of Mong Do village, Vinh Xuong district. But at present, Tra Long communal house still hangs in the shrine of Tien Hien, with a golden painted lacquer painting established in the first year of Khai Dinh (1916) recording the history of the formation and development of Tra Long village. Accordingly, the name of the village has been changed many times and the time of the name change is specified. In the past, the village was named Mong Do, in the 5th reign of King Minh Mang (1824) it was changed to An Do village, during the 15th year of King Tu Duc's reign (1862) it was changed to Nhuoc Do village and in the 4th year of Duy Tan (1910) it was changed to a village. Long Tea.
Tra Long communal house was built around the first half of the nineteenth century, in Dong Lac, where people came to reclaim land for cultivation. At that time, the communal house was built with bamboo and leaves. After a while, the villages developed and the population concentrated in the Ba Ngoi area, at the same time the communal house was degraded, so the villagers moved the communal house to the land near the coast (old Tra Long hamlet - south of Tra Long bridge. Currently). After that, the villagers failed to do business (going to the sea to return to zero, farming without season) so the people's life became more and more miserable. Therefore, the old people in the village think that it may be because the feng shui of the house is not good: The communal house is located on a mound, facing the sea, on the left and right, there are two streams flowing into the sea through Tra Long bridge and Trung bridge. . On the other hand, the communal house was located far from the residential area, which was not convenient for sacrifices, so in 1960, the communal house was moved to the present location.
Tra Long Communal House worships: Village Citadel, Thien Y A Na Thanh Mau, Tang Lang Vuong, Tien Hien, Mr. Tiger, Yin soul... The communal house has been ordained 7 times, including:
