Thach Thanh communal house is located in Thach Thanh village, Ninh Quang commune, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province.
Thach Thanh village was established a long time ago. At that time, the land was still wild, the population was sparse, scattered around Go Quyt, stretching to Cam Mountain, Thom Mountain, Go Du. At that time, Thach Thanh communal house was built with simple materials such as paintings, bamboo, leaves, cork, etc., about 50m from the current location to the northwest.
In 1797, the communal house collapsed, so the people rebuilt the communal house at the current location. On the main beam of the hall is engraved the Chinese Nom script: temporary translation (Dinh Ty Quy Thu created - built in September of Dinh Ty year).
Thach Thanh communal house still retains 05 ordinations bestowed by the Nguyen kings:
- Ordaining Tu Duc in the 5th year (1852) to Bon Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Ordaining Tu Duc in the 33rd year (1880) to Bon Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Ordaining Dong Khanh in the 2nd year (1887) for Bon Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Ordained Duy Tan in the 3rd year (1909) conferred on Bon Canh Thanh Hoang;
- Ordaining Khai Dinh in the 9th year (1924) conferred on Bon Canh Thanh Hoang.

Over time, the communal house has been renovated in the following years:
- In 1965, replacing yin and yang tiles with scale tiles;
- In 1993, the tiled tile was replaced with western tile, painted with whitewash and decorated with patterns;
- In 2012, renovated and repaired the entire communal house.

The front of the sacrifice is the terrace of the great communal house, the front of the roof system is embossed with Han Nom characters: (亭 城 石 - Dinh Thach Thanh), on the roof of the roof is decorated embossed with the image of "Two dragons adoring the day", on the columns write pairs of sentences. In Chinese Nom characters, the first two letters form the name of the communal house

The main hall is built on the foundation of split stone, the walls are built of bricks, cement, lime mortar. The main hall has a wooden door system, style "Thuong Song Ha Hamlet", a roof tiled with western tiles, and the roof bank is decorated with "Two dragons adoring the day". The highlight of the communal house is the relatively intact wooden frame structure system, with fine art decorations, paintings and sculptures.
Thach Thanh Communal House Festival is an opportunity for people in the village to revive the tradition of "Drink water, remember the source", to pay respects and gratitude to those who have publicly cleared the land, set up a village and established a hamlet. Gods protect and bless the villagers with peace, prosperity, and good crops. The festival is also an opportunity for people in the village to meet and exchange, contributing to tightening the solidarity of the village. Therefore, maintaining and promoting intangible cultural values such as communal house festivals is very important, contributing to preserving the cultural identity of Vietnam.
During the resistance war against the French colonialists, the communal house was also the place where local revolutionary forces held rallies and mobilized people to support medicine, food, etc. to serve the resistance. From 1945 to 1954, Thach Thanh communal house was the gathering place of local revolutionary forces. At the same time, this is also a place to store food and food to supply the revolutionary forces during the resistance war against the French colonialists.
In 2006, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee ranked Thach Thanh Communal House as a provincial historical and cultural relic, in Decision No. 1887/QD-UBND, dated November 6, 2006.
