Description
The relic is located in Quang Hoi village, Van Thang commune, Van Ninh district (formerly known as Phu Hoi Dong, ward with the common name Nom being the land of Rung Cat, Cay Duong, belonging to Ha canton, Quang Phuoc district)[1]. Located 63 km from Nha Trang city to the North.
Quang Hoi communal house was built before 1852, to worship Ban Canh Thanh Hoang and other supporting gods. Initially, the communal house was built with a simple structure, mainly taking advantage of locally available materials, thatched roofs, and earthen walls.
Since its inception, Quang Hoi Communal House has undergone 2 renovations:
- The first time: in 1928, with the contribution of the people, Dinh was built with limestone materials and roofed with yin and yang tiles.
- Second time: in 1967, the communal house was restored for the second time with the contribution of the people (main materials are bricks, cement, wooden frame were kept, replaced yin and yang tiles with western tiles).
Currently, Quang Hoi Communal House still retains 06 ordinations bestowed by the Nguyen kings:
- Tu Duc in the 5th year (1852) ordained Ban Canh Thanh Hoang.
- Tu Duc year 33 (1880) The standard for worship is the same.
- Dong Khanh in the second year (1887)[2] conferred the title of Thanh Hoang Ban Canh.
- Duy Tan 3rd year (1909) The standard for worship remains the same.
- Khai Dinh in the second year (1917) ordained Thien Y A Na Dien Ngoc Phi.
- Khai Dinh in the 9th year (1924) conferred the title of Canh Thanh Hoang.
Quang Hoi communal house was built on a beautiful and airy terrain frame, with a total area of 2,214.9m2. The house faces to the southwest. In front is the rice field of the commune and residential area, in the distance is the mountain range of Pho Da Ni - Hon Chai.
From the outside to the inside, Quang Hoi Communal House includes architectural works: Nghi Mon, Phong Nha, Pre-Sacrificial Temple, Main Hall, Pre-Sen House, and Ba Temple.
Every year, in the third lunar month, people hold a ceremony to worship Ky Yen / Ky An to pray for "National peace and people's peace" and in the 7th lunar month, people organize sacrifices to the predecessors, the late sages who had had openly open land, set up hamlets, establish hamlets.
Quang Hoi communal house is one of the few ancient communal houses bearing the impression of early Nguyen Dynasty architectural style on Khanh Hoa land, built around the beginning of the 19th century, to worship Thanh Hoang, Thien Y A Na, Tien Hien, Hau sage… Up to now, Quang Hoi communal house still plays an important role in the cultural, spiritual and religious life of the local people. Because of the above typical values, Quang Hoi communal house was ranked as a provincial historical - cultural relic by the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued Decision No. 3094/QDCT-UBND, dated December 5, 2013 .
