Hoi Phuoc Pagoda is located at 153/2 Hoang Van Thu Street, Phuong Sai Ward, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province.

Initially, the pagoda was just a picture painting on Hoa Son mountain and was called Phuoc Am by many residents around the area. After that, the pagoda was moved to the foot of the mountain, located on the immense sandy beach on the shore of Nha Trang Bay, so later on, the local people used to call it Cat Pagoda, an idyllic and easy-to-remember name, associated with the site where the temple was built. In the year of Dinh Ty 1797, Dai Thong abbot of Phuoc Am and changed its name to Hoi Phuoc Pagoda, that name exists to this day.

Hoa Son (Mount One) is one of the four mountains in the heart of Nha Trang city, considered by the ancients as the four mascot symbols of Nha Trang: "Kim Quy doi tower" (Golden turtle in the tower - ie Mount Mot). Whenever mentioning the history of the formation of Hoi Phuoc Pagoda, monks and Buddhists mournfully remember the Patriarchate and the starting point at Hoa Son mountain (Nha Trang city):

Hoi Phuoc Pagoda follows the Northern sect, worshiping Shakyamuni, Guan Yin Bodhisattva, Bodhidharma, Maitreya and the ancestors of the temple.

The items of Hoi Phuoc pagoda were renovated in the history of formation and development of the relic: During the 31 years of abbot of Hoi Phuoc pagoda (from 1810 to 1841), Mr. and spent 50 mandarins to buy 05 sao of field so that the pagoda could have more farming land. In 1941, the Most Venerable An Ngan continued to repair and expand the main hall; In 1940, during the 15th reign of King Bao Dai, the pagoda was given the signboard "Sacred Four Hoi Phuoc Tu".

In 1984, Avalokitesvara statue was built in front of the temple yard;

Hoi Phuoc Pagoda faces Southeast, has an area of 952.9 m2 and has the following works: Tam Quan, Quan The Am station, Main hall, Lien Hoa stupa, incense church, guest house and house monks, kitchen and storeroom.

Every year, Hoi Phuoc Pagoda organizes Buddhist festivals, with two major festivals being Buddha's Birthday (April 15 of the lunar calendar) and Vu Lan festival (July 15 of the lunar calendar); On December 9, the day Buddha An's death passed away is the day when the patriarch opened the temple of Hoi Phuoc. Hoi Phuoc Pagoda is one of the oldest pagodas in Nha Trang city. Over 330 years of enlightenment, inheritance and development, Hoi Phuoc Pagoda still preserves many valuable relics and antiquities such as: Buddha statue, righteous Dharma eye organ, bell, Khanh, diaphragm, couplets... The historical, cultural, scientific, artistic and humanistic values of the monks of Hoi Phuoc have left in the hearts of the people of Nha Trang in particular and Khanh Hoa in general beautiful impressions, sincere feelings towards the Buddha Dharma, about the sacred family of Hoi Phuoc.

In 2015, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee ranked Hoi Phuoc Pagoda as a provincial historical and cultural relic.
