Hau Phuoc communal house is located in Hau Phuoc residential group, Ninh Ha ward, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province.

In the seventeenth century, the first seven villages (My Thuan, My Trach, Thuan Loi, Hau Phuoc, Tan Te, Ha Lien and Hoa Son) of Ninh Ha commune were established[1]. Hau Phuoc village at that time was called An Phuoc village (Nom name is Phuoc Dien, Dong Lang, Go Duyen) belonging to Ha canton, Tan Dinh district, Binh Hoa government, Binh Hoa town[2]. By 1880, the name "An Phuoc village" was changed to "Hau Phuoc commune".

Hau Phuoc is one of four plain villages of Ninh Ha ward (Hau Phuoc, My Trach, Thuan Loi, My Thuan).

In terms of chronology, there are three facts to determine the year when Hau Phuoc communal house was founded: Firstly, based on the memory of the local old man, the communal house was built in the year of Canh Than (1800); second, based on the earliest ordination that the communal house can still keep during the 5th year of King Tu Duc's reign (1852) to Ban Canh Thanh Hoang for worshiping at the communal house; third, based on the time of the village's establishment (XVII). From the above bases, it can be predicted that the age of the monument is at the end of the 18th century. Up to now, Hau Phuoc communal house has undergone the following restoration and embellishment: 1957, 1999, 2001, 2008.

Temple of Thien Y A Na

Hau Phuoc communal house was built to worship Thanh Hoang village, Tien Hien, Thien Y A Na, Nghia Tu, Than Nong. Hau Phuoc Communal House still preserves 04 ordinations granted by the Nguyen kings to Thanh Hoang, including: Tu Duc (02 colors), Dong Khanh and Duy Tan.

Hau Phuoc communal house is located in an area of 1,995m2, with the front facing southwest. From the outside to the inside, the communal house has an overall layout including: Nghi Mon, Phong Nha, main hall, Tien Hien house, Nghia Tu - Than Nong temple, Thien Y temple, kitchen.

The typical architectural art value of Hau Phuoc communal house is the system of reliefs, carvings on the wall and roof system in the Phong Nha-keh, main hall, Nghia Tu/ Than Nong temple, Tien Hien house, Thien Y temple. That event, in addition to the craftsman's talent, is also a folklore hidden in it, which is the wishes of the people that want to be placed on the basis of belief so that the god can hear and understand. protect them in their daily activities. As a purely agricultural village, the legends of "Phong Thuan Vu Hoa", "Long Tiger Hoi Hoi", "National Thai People An An", "Bat Fairy", "Two dragons adoring the sun" ... are the eternal wishes of the people around. years selling the ground, selling back to heaven in Hau Phuoc village in particular and Vietnam in general.

Every year, the communal house of Hau Phuoc village holds a festival on the 9th and 10th day of the third lunar month. In the ceremony, the ceremony of ordination procession from Bao Phuoc pagoda (Hau Phuoc residential quarter) to the communal house is one of the important highlights of the festival. In addition to the ceremony, the festival part of Hau Phuoc village's communal house also has folk games such as: Breaking the earthen pot, jumping sacks...

Regarding historical events, Hau Phuoc communal house is one of the places where typical local events take place as follows:

During the 9 years of resistance war against the French colonialists (1945-1954), the communal house was a meeting place and provided food and medicine for Viet Minh cadres. In 1948, the French colonialists burned down the communal house.

In February 1955, Comrade Vo Dinh Dung (commonly known as Nam Giao) - former member of Ninh Hoa District Party Committee, Secretary of the Party cell cum leader of Ninh Ha Commune's work team, was shot and wounded in the right leg by the enemy. dragged him from the injured place to the yard of Hau Phuoc communal house to bask in the sun and not allow the villagers to come near. The villagers were extremely merciful, so they tried to hide the comrade and heal his wounds. Sympathizing with the sincerity of his relatives for him, further motivated the will to fight against the enemy to protect every life and every piece of land for the villagers, Comrade Dung promised: "Comrades, rest assured, it is better to die. This assignment never betrays relatives”[3], and that promise was fought until his last breath on the night of July 16, 1969 while on duty with the Ninh Giang commune task force in the village. Hau Phuoc. Recognizing comrade Vo Dinh Dung's contributions to the cause of national liberation struggle, the State recognizes him as a martyr in the resistance war against the US for national salvation.

On the night of July 20, 1969, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Agreement (1954-1969), the Ninh Ha commune task force with 04 comrades (names unknown) went to Hau Phuoc village to hang the flag, spread leaflets… and then continue to occupy the commune's markets. The next morning, the people in the commune saw the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam flag fluttering in the communal house of Hau Phuoc village and the leaflets we had scattered all over the village road last night. have faith in the victory of the revolution.

Recognizing the historical-cultural values of Hau Phuoc communal house, on April 13, 2010, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 966/QD-UBND ranking it as a provincial relic.
